<3 Japan
I was recently commissioned to design a t-shirt that would be sold to help raise money for aid in Japan. Colors are minimal to capture the traditional aesthetic of Japan as well as to keep printing costs as low as possible. Sponsored by The American Red Cross, the shirt has already raised over $100 in pre-sales alone.
Step & Repeat
This was a fun project in which I combine photography with illustration and it really goes to show you that you shouldn’t throw anything out. The photos I used for these were some shots I’d taken when I was still in college of highly textured surfaces. From there, I chose a few areas of the photograph to cut out and warp into completely new and unrecognizable textures, duplicating what I had just made and doing it over and over again. After doing this for about 3 hours I stepped back and these were the images that had come about. Add a bit of typography and presto! Finished poster design. Weird that they both look an awful lot like fish though
